The Waiting Years has been in the works for quite a while now.
The first real groundwork for a serious project began when their previous attempt at forming a band came to an end. During that time each member found themselves drawn back to music both individually and as a group. The space and freedom that they had in the absence of the pressures involved with trying to form a band led them to a different place individually.
They all began to realize that a large part of the reason that their past attempts had failed was that none of the members really felt like they belonged in the roles they had tried to fill at that time.
Out of this desire to reform and restructure in order to pursue music again, the current lineup of The Waiting Years was formed.
Since then the band has been wholeheartedly moving toward finalizing their first album.
The Waiting Years are currently in the process of finishing up their first release. They will be in the studio this summer and the first of the new material will be out this fall.
